Methodology
Project management is based on Agile Scrum methodology
- Project backlog (list of features to be implemented) collects in form of functional definitions all features
- Sprint backlog includes all features to be developed during a sprint (a determined period of time)
- Sprints are always relatively short in duration, in average 4-6 weeks
- The exact content is agreed upon in the beginning of respective sprints
- During each sprint its features are defined in detail: functional definitions, technical planning, configuration, testing and eventually deployment to production
Modularity
- Due to the modular architecture all system can be delivered in (sprint conforming) units
- During all the development work it is possible to prioritize the project backlog according to customer needs
Project communication
- JAS iComm, a tool based on Open Source Jforum, is used as an efficient tool for joint communication between participating parties
- JAS iComm adds transparency to all project
- JAS iComm leaves audit trail on all communication events. This feature enables easy project learned lessons utilization in further development.
